Clicks has closed its store at the Pick n Pay Centre in Ceres after a member of its staff tested positive for Covid-19.
"One of our staff members was sent home earlier this week with flu-like symptoms. The staff member subsequently tested positive for Covid-19 and is in self-isolation for 14 days," says Sedick Arendse, Clicks chief store operations officer.
All staff who work closely with the staff member are being tested and monitored for symptoms, and those who have been in close contact will self-isolate pending their test results.
A professional decontamination service has been brought in to deep-clean the store, which will reopen with a different staff team on 25 April.
